My name is Marissa and I'm a writer down here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Having been a bookworm for as long as I can remember, the obvious next step from reading books was to start writing them. The earliest stories I remember penning are a CSI fan-fiction that resulted in a teacher meeting with my parents and a Bugs Bunny detective noir called The Case of the Missing Carrots.

What can I say, I was a seventh-grade literary genius.

Once I hit my teenage years, my mental health started on a downward spiral and the ability to read and write became the means to escape. Throughout high school I filled notebook after notebook with story after story, writing down lore and character backstories instead of math problems and history notes. Most kids had a shelf of other people's writing at home, I had a shelf full of my own.

Now as an adult, I'm preparing to publish my first book, an Urban/Supernatural Fantasy called Abeyance. I have so many worlds tucked away in my head, I can't wait to bring them to life for everyone to experience!
